Three of my world’s collided today on Dartford’s recreation park: My growing portfolio of photos of Dartford’s current mayor Avtar Sandhu; my work as a Governor of local school, West Hill Primary School and; my sponsorship of Dartford Valley Rugby Football Club. The met during the fantastic celebrations today for the visit of the Queen’s Baton Relay at Dartford Park’s running track to promote the upcoming Commonwealth Games. Here a a few shots from sunny proceedings. The new and energetic mayor of Dartford even had a go at the trial of Rugby Sevens that DVRFC were demonstrating for local school children (including West Hill) at the event. His footwork could use a little work, but he may have a job as a rugby forward once his mayorial terms finishes!
