Event photography doesn’t get much better than when I supported the We Are Beams fundraiser held at Swanley Park earlier this month – or more colourful. This fantastic colour dash event, with six different paint colour stations on its 2.5k route around the park was generously supported, raising around £12,000. Those are funds that make a huge difference to a small charity like Beams and the service users of its facilities near Swanley, Kent.

I was able to support them with my photography skills and, along with two other volunteer photographers, we captured some terrific, upbeat and positive photos that show how much fun everyone had that morning.

Colour dash race for Beams Charity

This event photography for We Are Beams is one of the ways I can help the charity raise awareness of the support required for families of young people with additional needs. Beams’ centre in Hextable provides a raft of services for those families; from signposting additional help, to providing short breaks for children needing physical, emotional or mental support.
